The path for true Belonging

Is it just me, or you also wonder about what true Belonging is?

My life experiences have led me to believe that true Belonging has always been inside me and has little to do with a place, culture, or how I identify myself. I know for sure that Belonging is not a thing we get but a feeling we experience.

I've always been fascinated by the beauty of diversity. After moving to Italy in my twenties, I was exposed to a new way of being and living; adapting to a new culture and environment was challenging to say the least. I recall trying to fit in at all costs and losing sight of my own identity and values. What became clear to me now is that I was attaching my sense of belonging to the place I was living.

After twelve years in Italy, I moved with my family to the States, and I decided to recreate and rediscover my authentic self

What a journey this has been! There have been many ups and downs, but one thing remained unchangeable: my commitment to finding belonging in every place I go and in all personal and professional interactions I have.

Here is where I am today, on a quest to bring powerful conversations around belonging. My dear friend Fiorenza and I launched a new project together called: The Belonging Project, where people worldwide unpack their journeys toward Belonging in compelling and honest ways.

The Belonging Project was born with the purpose to share real-life and powerful global conversations that offer inspiration and practical strategies to anyone who is on the path to find their true voice in society and as a leader, the journey toward Belonging.

It’s being such an incredible journey so far, we are having amazing conversations with inspiring people from different cultures, races, ethnicities. They come from different industries and backgrounds, at the same time, they all have in common the passion to connect with human beings on a deep level and support them to be true to themselves and to make them feel they belong wherever they live or work.

I want to invite you to check this out. You belong here.

In belonging and gratitude,

Andrea
